Two days presentation of new equipment for forensic expertise took place in MIA SRFC.

Among reviewed items was the RECOVER LFT system for revealing of fingerprints, the DCS 5 system for detecting fingerprints, the Crime-lite ML2 desktop magnifier with multi-wave illumination, portable camera MVC®lite, the TFD-2 – automated, highly productive device, able to detect hand traces on large quantity of paper documents to identify fingerprints.

A system for revealing of fingerprints was presented – an innovative technology that allows restoring fingerprints, which were hard or impossible to detect before. Ultra-modern technology uses the process of chemical covering to reveal fingerprints on a range of surfaces, which complicate fingerprint detection, including those influenced by extreme heating (for example cartridge case after a shot) and objects that were wiped or washed to prevent identification.

The portable camera for safe and controlled detection of hidden fingerprints on the crime scene was also presented.

Experts were able to work with specified equipment and make sure that it is functional and necessary.
